When selecting motifs for my portraits, I particularly look for mask-like facial expressions, evil looks, terrifying film stills and extraordinary outfits of legendary characters. But I also like motion and blurriness. Heroes and actors with their various features, adding my imagination, showing their genius. By using many glazed layers, the pictures acquire a hyper-realistic appearance and dimensionality.

That's my color. I am using it over and over again in my paintings. For me, it represents joy of life, strong emotions and it lightens up the gray of everyday life on canvas! It's important to me to that things that need to be shown are shown, to say what needs to be said or what nobody else dares to say. I like crazy clothes and styles that are outside the norm. It's like an ongoing relic of my youth with cult status for me. Punk is a bold movement that represents an attitude of  "we don't give a shit" in the sense of "we do what we want, no matter what everybody else is thinking". Free of constraint! This is reflected in my paintings as well: the more garish the colors, the greater is the contrast in the picture. Spontaneous spatula work like in Action Painting and other "wild painting techniques" add to the message of the motif.

Beschreibungstext: I don't why, but "white" always reminds me of the song by Kylie Minogue & Nick Cave. And also of shells and fossils: Their beauty, their wild touch, delicate patterns and structures, not made by humans and millions of years old. Witnesses of another time. Elf-like and pure symmetries. Simply unique. All of that fascinates me when I look at these details and paint them.
And as if by magic, what I see is then right there on the canvas, without any thinking, it just comes easy, simply by intuition. Being in complete harmony with nature.
