When selecting and painting portraits, I am fascinated by masked facial expressions, evil looks, terrifying film stills. Crazy costumes of legends. But also motion blur and blurriness. Heroes. Actors in all their facets, imagination, genius and direction. Through many glazed layers, the pictures acquire a hyper-realistic appearance and dimensionality.
